First, I’ll introduce you to the pronunciation of my name. I’ve heard a lot of things. Kry-zelle, Krizzle, Kritsel, Krystahl, Kristin. Then, at places like Starbucks or Jamba Juice, where they ask for your name… it turns out looking like Rozeke, Cradel and Rizal. My name becomes an invitation for creativity and breeds company of different kinds. I make friends that delight in extending my nickname collection with names like “Krizzy” or “Krizzly Bear”. And I meet creepers with cheesy pick-up lines, like “pretty name for a pretty lady.” I’ve heard it all.
To clarify, my name is actually pronounced krih-zell. Short i and accent on the second syllable. The e is also short – not long, not silent. Krih-zell.
Now that you know my name, here’s the scoop. I’m a 17 25 year old gal in love with Edward Cullen* the life God gave me. I’m also a proud mixed Asian of different flavors, but I am mostly Filipino (I think). Oh, and I recently found out that my great-great grandmother was actually the not-so-Asian CaucAsian.
I enjoy running, specifically around the time of New Years and after Thanksgiving. I love watching movies. I should call them films since I got my BA in Film and Media Studies. But saying movies makes me feel less accountable to having a valid opinion or taste. That way, I can freely express my love for YouTube and Disney flicks. And with my endearing boyfriend, I’ll tolerate the occasional cheesy SyFy flick. My love for watching stuff doesn’t take away my love for books, though. I take pleasure in reading fiction and spiritual formation (specifically IVP – shout out!) books.
Finally, I am an INFJ. I hope that uncovers my personality mystery for you.
Most importantly, I am a passionate follower of Christ, pursuing His calling for me as a Campus Staff Minister through InterVarsity Christian Fellowship which purposes are toestablish and advance at colleges and universities witnessing communities of students and faculty who follow Jesus as Savior and Lord: growing in love for God, God’s Word, God’s people of every ethnicity and culture and God’s purposes in the world.
WOO!
*Note: I’ve never actually read any of the Twilight series or watched the movies. So, that statement really means nothing.
